Tracing the family tree of Kenneth Mackenzie son of John Mackenzie and Christy Munro of Avernish, Lochalsh Parish, Ross-shire, born about 1818 and emigrated with his brothers, John, Allan, and Roderick, about 1840.
Kenneth married Isabella McKenzie, daughter of John Mackenzie and Barbara Macgregor, cleared out of Strathconan about 1840. Both lines settled in Ashfield, Huron County, Ontario.
