STRACHAN: Hello from USA. I am looking for any information on Elizabeth Strachan, born 8/5/1854 in Alloa, Clackmannan, Scotland to James Strachan (brewery foreman) and Helen Cunningham (married 1226/1851 in Cumbernauld, Dunbarton, Scotland). Elizabeth had a sister Charlotte, who was my great-grandmother. Charlotte married John Taylor and moved to Manchester, England. I would love to hear from anyone with the name of STRACHAN anywhere in their family background. I could find nothing more on Elizabeth after she was witness at her sister's wedding in Milton, Glasgow, Scotland in 1876. She was single then.
Also, still searching for NISBET'S & TAYLORS FROM THE TARBOLTON, AYSHIRE AREA. (see message back in October 2000)
My sister and I are visiting Scotland in June of 2001 and would love to meet an actual Scottish cousin, however many times removed! Thank you.
