RE: JAMES McTAGGART born Aug. 6, 1754
I am searching for any information on James McTaggart (b. 6/8/1754 d. in Canada 28/7/1843) and married NANCY COOLEY (b. 17/12/1759 and also died in Canada 8/10/1844. If anyone has any information on either James McTaggart who was born in Galloway, Scottland and sailed on the good ship "Gale" on May 16, 1774 for New England, Provimce of New York, it would be greatly appreciated. I have traced him and Nancy back to Scotland, but that is where I draw a brick wall. Please email me at brookcie@yahoo.com if you have any information on either James (Jas) McTaggart or Nancy Cooley. Their children were 1. James McTaggart Senior, 2. Peter, 3. Samuel, 4. Mary, 5. James, 6. Martha, 7. John, 8. William, 9. Robert, 10. David. If you need any information on this line of the McTaggarts please feel free to contact me, as I say I have a complete history of the family back to 1754...but that is where it ends. Help!!
