I am searching for information on Matthew Murray - he was a col.in the army in East India - legend has it he married an indian princess - Contity and she is supposed bore him 2 boys - James and John - she died and he returned to Dumfries with the 2 boys and married Sybella King - this was supposed to be in 1700. Can anyone help me please as I would love to know about this history. I am a descendant of James - he came to Australia with his wife Wilhelmina (nee Reid) and their children and settled near Bathurst N.S.W. where they are buried.
