our Reids came from Ireland around 1720 because of the Catholic rulers of england were persecuting Presbyterians ect.i am from the clan Robertson and from the larger clan Donnachardh their Chieftain was Baron reed at the time if you have information i would appreciate it .The reid motto is to be bent noy broken
