Bruce/Polson - Northern Scotland
I am tracing earlier ancestors of both these families
1) William Bruce (b 27/12/1801, d Oct 6, 1881) who married an Elizabeth Kennedy (b1810) at West Ormly on 28/11/1834. William's father and mother were John Bruce and Elizabeth nee Gunn (m at Bower July 18, 1790.)
2) James (July 23, 1803, d July 7, 1884) and Flora Polson, nee McKenzie (b c 1811) married at Marrel Dec 12, 1833. James parents were Murdoch and Catherine Polson, nee Sutherland.
