I'm looking for any family of Alexander Gow Born 1826 in Sterling Scotland. He is my GGGrandfather and left Scotland when he was a young boy. He was a stowaway on a ship and a family took him in with their children. Their name was Smith and Alexander changed his name to Alexander Gow Smith. He died in 1895 in Hamilton, Alabama USA.
