Researching the family lines of JAMES WHITLAW and ISABEL COCKBURN, Berwickshire Scotland area. The only dates I have for these people are Isabel's death on July 17, 1840 aged 80 years Duns, Berwickshire (note: on death info. lived in Clockmill)
There sons were:
George b. Oct 21, 1795 Duns Berwickshire m. Helen Waite March 21, 1826 Duns, Berwickshire
Robert b. Nov 10, 1797 Duns, Berwickshire m. Janet Calder August 1, 1830 Duns, Berwickshire
William b. July 11, 1800 Duns Berwickshire m. Helen Ingram Nov 8, 1822 Duns, Berwickshire
and possibly Peter b. 1780 in Duns, d. April 25, 1834 m. Jean Thomson
When the sons were married their last names appeared with an "e" - Whitelaw. I am descended from Robert and have compiled a fair amount of information on that line. I would be most delighted to hear from anyone researching these lines.
