My great-great grandfather was born in 1830 in Fifeshire, Scotland. His name was James Thomson. He spent 77 of his 98 years in Simon's Town, South Africa. He was a ship's carpenter and settled in South Africa in 1851 at the age of 21. He passed away August 2, 1928. I believe one of his sons was named Joseph. I am looking for any information concerning his other son or daughter who should be my great-grandfather or great-grandmother. All I have is my grandmother's name, Mabel Viola who married Walter William Starkey. Any help is appreciated!
