Hello,
I have yet ''one more MacDonald'' - Flora MacDonald my grandmother. She was born approximately 1886 in Scottland.
She passed away when I was just 8 and never heard anything about ''family'' across the sea, except that I was named after an Aunt in Scottland named ''Peggy MacDonald''. Well I am the oldest living relative I have that I know of......have searched but as u all know with little information it can be tough & time consuming. I was told my grandmother came over on a boat from Scottland at age 16 - I've searched passenger lists not knowing a ship name, nor if she even came with friend or family? So here I am hoping against hope for a ''miracle'' lol. My grandmother lived in Fargo North Dakota area (La Moure Township) until about 1954 when they moved to California. My grandfather Louis (Louie) Smith is just as mysterious. I found them on a 1920 census sheet at the Nat.'l archives, but almost a zero for info. to assist a search. Any ideas are appreciated!
