Looking for James Ahere who was born in Scotland about 1820. He moved to Berrien County, Michigan, USA where he bought land in 1852. Can find no others by this last name. I am beginning to believe it is not spelled correctly and may have been Ayer pronounced with a brough? Are ther any Aheres out there? I have also seen it spelled Aher and Ahear.
