MCKENZIE, REID, HENDERSON, MARSHALL
I am trying to find out more about Peter McKenzie, Janet Reid, James Henderson and Elizabeth Marshall.
Peter McKenzie was born about 1813 and enlisted in the 72nd Regiment of Foot, he married Janet Reid in Paisley in April 1835. Janet was born in Paisley about 1814.
Peter and Janet had the following children Janet b.1836, Isabella b.1838, John b.1840, James b.1842, Margaret b.1845 in Gibraltar and Peter b.1850 in Barbados.
I believe Margaret married Robert Wotherspoon in Paisley in 1867.
Peter McKenzie (senior) died November 1848 in Barbados where he was serving with the Army.
James Henderson was born in Renfrew about 1823 and he married Elizabeth Marshall in Kilmaurs October 1842. James was a Shawl Weaver by occupation. Elizabeth was born about 1824 in Kilmaurs, Ayr.
I believe James and Elizabeth had the following children, Elizabeth b.1850 in Kilmaurs (she married Peter McKenzie in Paisley April 1872), Janet b.1853, John b.1857 and Andrew b.1859.
