I am looking for information on James M. Mitchell, born-april 1847,in Alford, Aberdeenshire,Scotland. He arrived in America 1870.He settled in Rockland, Maine, where he worked as a stone cutter. He died there 10 july 1911. He married Margaret Porter on 26 july 1874. His parents are James Mitchell and Dorothy Shaw both of Alford, Aberdeenshire. James and Margaret Mitchell's three sons are James,born 4jan1875, John,born 15aug1876, and Joseph,born 24sep1878 all born in Rockland, Maine, I sincerly hope to find some living kin of these folks and mine . John Mitchell is my grandfather who I have never known. Is there any kin way over there in Alford?
