CULLEN Isabella, born edinburgh c.1770, as Isabella Hope, daughter of Sir Archibald Hope of Craighall,married William Cullen of Parkhead in 1778, went to India in 1792, returned c. 1799, died Edinburgh aged narly 80. Her husband was a Lieut in the 53rd, then went to India as an Indigo planter but rejoined the army in 1799 and became a Col. in the Scots brigade. i am seeking info about them as they figure in a book I am writing. particularly need to know the name of Isabella;s eldest daughter drowned in 1792 aged about 12,
