BURR - ABERDEENSHIRE, SCOTLAND
Seeking descendants/relatives of John Burr m. Catherine Angus 1829, Rayne. I am ggdaughter of their son Alexander (M. Jean Isabella Alexander 22/2/1882)and had 12 children. His son John m. Margaret Tugela Lawrie in 1920 and emigrated to NZ in 1924 with 2 children -Ella and Charles. Seeking info. on the Burr/Angus ancestors if possible. Also seeking John Burr senior's siblings as at least one of the brothers has descendants in NZ, my gfather had 2nd cousins by name of Tom, George and William settle in the Manawatu and Wairarapa areas of NZ. Also Alexander had a previous marriage with 3 sons (?) all of whom were reputed to have been brought up by their mother's family (name required) and subsequently emigrated to Canada. I'd really appreciate any help from either Scottish or NZ relatives. Happy to share what I have assembled on my branch of the family to date. Thanks.
