LINDSAY/PETTIGREW-Brick Wall!-My third greatgrandfather, Peter Lindsay had a sister named Jannet Pettigrew. Together they left Houston, Renfrew in 1827 and went to Canada, settling in Quebec. Peter was married in 1818 in Renfrew to Margaret Stevenson. At least three of their children were born in Scotland but I've been unable to find the records of them or why Peter and Jannet have different last names. I assume the mother remarried but have not been able to make the connection. Can anyone tell me how I might find these records; or why the children's births were not recorded?
