I am searching for the birth records of a Katherine McKay who was the daughter of Wilhelmina McKay of Dounby, Orkney, Scotland. Katherine was an illegitimate daughter and I believe was born in either Glasgow or Dunbar (East Lothian) in 1898 +/- 2 years. I believe Katherine lived at Drive Road, Govan and worked at Shield Hall. She is believed to have gone to school at Govan High School, Glasgow.
