ROBERT MCKNIGHT(McNAUGHTON) born October 8, 1732 in Scotland
(don't know what parish)He is beleived to have traveled to the U.S. with his son William in 1767.
(Possibly from Ayr, Kircudbright, Dumfries or Lanark.) Wife's name is unknown. They had 12 children
between Sctotland, Va, NC? and finally settled in Davidson Co., Tn which later became Williamson
Co.,Tn where he died June 2, 1818.
