Looking for descendants of Samuel RAMSAY and Jane ANDERSON of Monikie, Angus, Scotland. Their children (born btw. 1800 & 1820) included George (m. Jane GIBSON), Thomas (m. Janet CLARKE), James, Samuel (possibly m. Ann OSBORNE), David (m. Margaret LUMGAIRE), Charles (m. Ann LOWSON), John (m. Barbara GEMLEY), Andrew (m. 1. Anne SMITH, 2. Clementina MARTIN), Peter (m. Barbara ANDERSON), Barbara (m. David GRAY), & Catherine Ligglar. The family lived in and around the Monikie area -- Carnoustie, Barry, St. Vigeans, & Dundee.
I descend from Andrew RAMSAY and Anne SMITH. Their son Samuel married Ann THOMSON (born in Perth.) Their children (born btw. 1868 and 1881): Elizabeth (m. George LOWE), Andrew, Samuel (m. Jessie-last name unknown), Margaret Grieve, Annie Smith, Jane, & David Martin (m. Esther HETHERINGTON). The children were orphaned in St. Clements Dundee in 1884. I am certain that Elizabeth, Samuel, Margaret, Annie, and David immigrated from Dundee to the US (Elizabeth, New Jersey) between 1900 and 1903. I would like to find out what became of Andrew and Jane.
