I am looking for any information in regards to the family-held company of the Finlayson Knitting Mills in Glasgow, Scotland. My father was stationed in Great Britain during WW II and only saw this Knitting Mill from the passing window of a train. His father was Ernest Evertt Finlayson who died in 1936 in Canada. I only know that one of our forbearers was a Remittance Man who was sent to Canada by our family. I would like to know if this mill is still in operation today; and who started the mill and all of the descendents that remained in Scotland till the present day. Thnak you very much for any help that is out there. I am a novice at this e-mail and internet stuff. Please have patience with me.
