Seeking decendants of the GOULD family in Edinburgh.
Require help to establish genealogical link to Grandfather Hugh Gould born 3 September 1862 in Edinburgh. He possibly had four brothers, James Hugh,b:7 May 1860.William b:11 Jan 1866.Robert Mackie b:6 April 1868 and Francis Robertson b: 30 Mar 1871.
Their parents were William Gould and Ann Reid married 5 Aug 1859. The parents marriage and all births are registered in Edinburgh Parish,Edinburgh Mid Lothian from the records we have found to date.
My Grandfather moved away from Scotland and lived in Wales and England until his death in 1948 He had four known children Edward b:? Charles b: 1890 Helen b:? and Nathaniel b:? He also had two grandsons,(my brothers) named Alexander Reid Gould and Hugh Reid Gould. His great grandson also a GOULD, in New Zealand, and I are seeking any assistance to determine if this person was indeed our grandfather and great- grandfather.
