I am looking for ANNINS from Scotland--Supposedly John Annin(1688-1759) was John JOHNSTON, son of Sophie, Countess of Annandale, and took name of Annan when he came here in 1722. Johnston clan says that's impossible, so where did he come from, and who was he? Married to Elizabeth Van Doren--all staunch Presbyterians. Any help appreciated!
