Looking for information on my great-great grandparents, Hugh and Sarah Semple. Recently acquired information that there was a Hugh Semple born in 1790 and married Sarah Howar in 1815 at Paisley, High Church, Scotland. Not sure if they are the same but the dates are about right. Son William J. Semple (my great-grandfather) lived in the U.S. in late 1800's and was in Logan County, Illinois by 1900. Do not know if Hugh and Sarah came to the States or not. I would appreciate any information on Semples!
