Am looking for a reference to Peter McGregor (2nd great-grandfather to my husband William J. Purves) born in Argyllshire about 1815-20. He came to Canada as a young man and married his cousin Mary McGregor, daughter of Alexander in Beckwith, Lanark Co. Ontario about 1840 (I know this because by 1846 they had 5 children).
