Want to find out the names of my great grandfather's family. Duncan was born in MidCalder in West Lothian Scotland around 1828/30. His father's name was James Weir and his mother's maiden name was a Mary Dimmock. Duncan emigrated to Ballarat Australia in 1852 as a gold miner at the Ballarat, Australia Gold diggings. I do not know whether his parents also emigrated. I do not know whether he had any bros or sisters. Some data states he lived in Lanarkshire.
