My g-grandfather Peter Begbie from Gladsmuir, East Lothian married Margaret Telfer in 1882. Margaret's mother was a Jane Harkes. Since I am also descended from a Harkes line, I would like to find out more about Margaret Telfer and her family. Margaret was not my g-grandmother - she was Helen Harkes and Peter did not marry her.I think they may have been related, but so far, I have not found the link.
