ALEXANDER STEWART (born Bridgend, Inveresk): Looking for information about my gggrandfather who was an inspector with the Edinburgh City Police from 1985 to 1895. He married Cathrine LYONS from Ireland 30September1850. They had four daughters: Mary (my ggrandmother),Anne, Cathrine (who married Edward Monaghan) and had one son that we know of, Alexander), and Helen Rae, who died in childhood. One known address is 27 North Richmond Street, Edinburgh. I have more information such as his daughters' birthdates, but no info on Alexander and Cathrine's parents or siblings.
