Hello again folks. My name is Roger Gardiner and I posted a message last week regarding searches on the 1881 British census and the Vital Record Index which I have at home. Absolutely no problem. For clarification, a free search at the General Records Office in Edinburgh is literally that, but I do need expenses which amounts to £40. This covers entrance fee and train journey. My apologies for any ambiguity. I had 34 enquiries this week alone of which I was able to offer information on 31 of those. A gentle reminder that I am not a professional researcher but a lifelong genealogist who likes to return something to the Family History community for as little cost as possible. Again, apologies for any misunderstanding.
