I am seeking information on my ancestry of the Surname MURDOCH - in particular Ann MURDOCH. My father's grandfather Alexander SMITH (parents Alexander SMITH and Mary POLLOCK) born about 1853 was married to an Ann MURDOCH. I believe this MURDOCH line stems from a brother of William MURDOCH's(the scot inventor famous for gas lighting) from Bello Mill born in 1754 in parish Auchinleck County Ayr.
