BUCHAN Stephen Buchan was born in Mexico 1841 & came to Australia. His father was Stephen Buchan, mother Florencia Yames. His father's home was 'The Grove' Hanwell, London. A photograph album shows the Scottish relatives. David Adye Buchan's family, he married Ellen Ogston and moved to Newton Nottage Wales. Another family in the album is Charles Forbes Buchan's family, Charles Forbes was the son of Peter Buchan of Peterhead, Charles lived at Fourdoun. His wife's name was Isobella and she has signed the photograps .....from your aunt. I am also wondering if Captain David Buchan of artic exploration (1818) is the father of David Adye Buchan and also of Stephen. Does any one know Captain David Buchan's exact date of birth? The Maritime museum here in Sydney sent me some information but were not sure of exact date and his death. So my enquiry is about the Stephen Buchan who went to Mexico and sired our Stephen Buchan and I am interested in Captain David Buchan. Many thanks!
