I am seeking information about my ancestor, Peter Walker (or Welker or Waulker, etc.) who apparently immigrated to US from Edinburgh in late 1700's/early 1800's and settled in Brighton Plantation/near Bangor Maine. His son, Robert, married a Permelia Emerson and re-settled in Ohio with his descendants then traveling to Michigan to settle in Montrose and Lee Twp., Calhoun County. I have hit a dead end on Peter. I found him in an 1830 Maine census with a family of five.
