DUNCAN/EWEN Loking for Charles Duncan who was born in 1800
but I don't know where. One member of the family says these
Duncans came from Argyll, Scotland. Charles and brothers
Ira and John(?) came to Charleston, South Carolina along with their mother. They came from Ulster Ireland but they
were originally a prominent Clan in Scotland. Charles married Marianne Ewen and she died giving birth to my great
grandfather in April 1836 in Louisville, Kentucky. Ira, John and their mother returned to Ireland via the Charleston, South Carolina port. Don't know when this took
place.
I would like to know how to research Argyll Scotland to find any information I can on my line of Duncans.
