My father came to the US in 1909. His father was John Russell and his mother Jane Richardson. His grandfather was Thomas Russell and grandmother Margaret Brough of Paisley. Most of the family apparently were born and lived around Paisley, Nielston and Renfrew parrish areas. Father and his family were living in Portobello, Edinburgh when they left for the US. Grandfather had a brother James and had children from a first marriage. He left the family after coming to the US. Would like to know what happened to him and if any relatives are still in Scotland. Would also like to know the family connection to the Raeside family, my middle name.
