Looking for information on Robert Steel of Edinburgh born 1823 to David and ? Steel/Steele. He had a brother William. Robert was in business with Geordie Keith, the builder who built the Sir Walter Scott monument on Princess St. After his mother's death, the family immigrated to Canada. they were shipwrecked off Nova Scotia and survived to move into the Montreal area.
