I am new to searches in Scotland... I need assistance on the Brown families that immigrated to West Indies in early 1800's..particularly Grenada West Indies...I have the names John Brown and George Brown that were merchants that are the possible relations I seek...John Brown supposedly was the father of our Peter Doyle Brown if Grenada WI. Peter Brown was born Grenada in 1877 but we understand his family was tere much earlier....possible a merchant of Dennistoun, Brown& Company in Glasgow,, and merchant in St. George's Grenada....we believe that most of the family of Browns Immigrated to United States by at least early 1900's. They were Spice Merchants in Grenada. I certanly would appreciate any guidance... I am the last of the family to research the family and need all the information I can obtain...mostly as heritage for the grandchildren! there are many uses of the named Doyle and Gordon and Dominic and Hubert etc that were continually used so this might be a clue? thank you so very much for your time in reading and assisting me in the endeavour. Lenora
