MUNRO - ROSS - MCNABB - looking for Great Great Grandparents - believed to be William Munro and possibly Isabella Finlay of Easter Ross Scotland. thier children were Alexander, John, Finlay, Catherine, Elizabeth and William.Alexander Munro B:ABT 1779 married Mary Ross B: ABT 1782. in Easter Ross, Scotland - their children were William Ross, Mary Ann, Christina and Alexander - they were residents of Anges Hill, Reolis Parish on the Black Isle, Scotland - they emigrated to Canada prior to 1834 to Carleton, Ontario. William Ross Munro B:ABT 1806 married Christina McNabb. William was wounded in a dispute with his neighbor, Elward on May 16.1862 over some chickens and subsequently died 12 days later and Elward and his wife were convicted of murder and hung in Belleville, Monday, Sept.8.1862. I have no record of any children to William Ross Munro and Christina McNabb. I am particulary interested in finding my great grandmother - Christina Munro B: ABT 1824 in Easter Ross, Scotland D: in Carleton Ontario. Her children - Alexander D. Munro and Jessie Munro were - I believe born in Canada - I do not know who her husband was. Alexander D. married Annie Hudson on Mar.31.1870 in Fitzroy Harbor, Ontario and Jessie married William Smart Apr.01.1871 in Quebec (?)
