Stewart/Cochran/Mathie/Good/Crosbie/Gemmell/Paterson

My g.g. grandfather Charles Stewart, born about 1822 and died 3rd September 1866 was the son of William Stewart and Jane Cochran. Charles Stewart married Elizabeth Mathie (Born in 1823 in Rutherglen, Lanark, Glasgow and daughter of Robert Mathie and Rebecca Hart) on 9th March 1849 in Barony, Lanark. They had the following children: William Stewart b. 1850, Janet (Jessie) Mathie Stewart b. 1851, Jane (Jeanie) Stewart 1853, Robert Mathie Stewart b. 1856 and d. 1857, Robert Mathie Stewart b. 1858 and d. 1859 and Charles Stewart (my great grandfather) b. 1861 in Central District, Lanark.

Janet (Jessie) Mathie Stewart b. 1851, married James Crosbie in 1876. They had the following children: Lewis MG Crosbie 1878, Elizabeth M. Crosbie 1880, Charles Stewart Crosbie 1884 and Robert Alexander Mathie Crosbie 1886.

Jane (Jeanie) Stewart b. 1853, married Andrew Gemmell in 1881. They had the following children: John Campbell Gemmell 1882, Elizabeth (Lily) Mathie Gemmell 1884, Charles Stewart Gemmell 1888 and Andrew S. Gemmell 1893.

My great grandfather Charles Stewart born in 1861 married Helen Good (born in 1872 in Springburn, Lanark and daughter of Archibald Good and Margaret Stevenson) in 1895. They had the following children: Margaret Good Stewart 1896, Elizabeth Mathie Stewart 1900, Helen Good Stewart (my grandmother) 1905 and Jane Stewart 1914.

My grandmother Helen Good Stewart born in 1905 married Duncan Paterson (born in 1902 in Govanhill, Glasgow and son of Duncan Paterson and Christina Naismith) in 1929 in Blythswood, Glasgow.
