My grandfather was John King (very unusual name), SCT to USA in 1860, died in NC in 1880. He married a girl he met aboard ship to the States, Janet Greig Jack, and they had 7 children. We believe Janet, b. 1839 Scoonie, Fife, was the
d/o James Jack and Jane Rattray; Jane the d/o Alexander Rattray and Jean Greig; Jean d/o John Greig and Jean Saunders; Jean d/o John Saunders and Jean Bruce. I have nothing on the origins of John King (other than that he was from SCT), and only about 75% certainty of the line above. ANY additional data would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
