YOUNG/DONALD. Am looking for any information on siblings and parents of Robert Young and Janet Donald: Robert Young, b. 15 Mar 1828 in Strathaven, Avondale, Scotland; d. 5 Apr 1910 in West Glover, Orleans County, Vermont, USA, m. Janet Donald 8 Dec 1853 in Hook, Scotland. Janet born 23 Jun 1827 in Scotland, d. 21 May 1908 in South Albany, Orleans County, Vermont, USA. I believe Robert was the son of William Young and Janet STRUTHERS and that Janet was the daughter of George Donald and Janet LOUDAN. They emigrated from Scotland in 1864, sailing from Glasgow (?) to Canada (Montreal?) until the American Civil War (1861-1865) was over and then came down to northeastern Vermont where they lived for the rest of their lives and raised seven children.
