looking for info on Barries. William Barrie born about 1815 in Scotland; son of Peter Barrie and Janet ???. William married Isabella McQueen,born about 1818 in Scotland; daughter of Alexander McQueen and Margaret ???
Both William and Isabella died in RI, USA. Three of their sons went to RI too. Peter, born 10 October 1839 in Scotland and married to Elizabeth McGregor on 13 July 1860 at High Church, Glasgow. Elizabeth was the daughter of Donald McGregor and Janet ???. They had several children in Scotland and more in RI. 2nd son was Alexander born 6 July 1846 and married to Janet Martin, born 24 August 1842 in Scotland; daughter of John Martin and Janet ??? Alex and Janet had at least one child in Scotland and more in RI.
The 3rd son was James who was born about 1860 in Scotland and married after going to RI. James and his mother returned to Scotland for a 6 week visit in spring of 1892 after William died. I feel that there were more children in this family and would like any info I can get. Thank you--James was my husband's great grandfather.
