GEORGE MILLER born Abt 1829
I am desperately searching for my GGG Grandfather. He was born in Scotland - in the Dumfries and Galloway region somewhere near Lockerbie / Gretna - as far as I can tell from my fathers notes (now deceased).
He married a Miss Adamson born abt 1836 (Gretna ?). She had a brother John (born 21 February 1848 and married Elizabeth and had daughter Jane Ann Adamson)
George Miller and Miss Adamson had 7 children which included 3 sets of twins. One twin survived - Annie and there was another son - Alexander - born 1856 and married Francis Ann Topping. At some point Alexander moved south to Rochdale where they had 5 sons (of which my grandfather JOhn Thomas was one) but Alexander died in 1891.
I have found the relevant entries in Rochdale but am Totally stuck on George / and other family. I know that there was a family farm called 'White Laird' somewhere in the Moffat area as my parents visited it but my mother cannot remember where it is.
HELP PLEASE - I would dearly love to get a little bit more info for my mother - she is Very Very ill / old and I really have only a few days left.
