I am trying to trace my Great Grandfather's family.
Andrew Tait was perhaps born in Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland 5 July 1835, married Jessie Thompson (born 27 Nov.1837, Wemyss,Fife) on 10 June 1859, Central District, Glasgow, Lanarkshire.

George Tait(b.23 Apr 1792,Stow, Midlothian, Scotland and
Mary Hutchieson(b.11 Oct 1807,Cramond, Midlothian, Scotland
married 5 Aug 1830,Cramond, Midlothian, Scotland.
As my father died 30 years ago and his cousins(88 and 92 years) have failing memories, I am having difficulties tracing other cousins.
My father's cousin seems to remember 14 sons in his father's family, but this maybe due to failing memory.
Did the others die young or emigrate?
