I am looking for a death date for either William Hamilton who died Glasgow between 1840 and 1860.
Also a Catherine (Orr) Hamilton who died after 1800 and a Margaret (Clyde) Hamilton who died after 1835, Glasgow.
William was a merchant in glasgow and owned the ropeworks in stockwell street. he was part of the merchant guild.
hamiltons were also manufacturing chemists in glasgow, but I don't know where.
Any information would be most appreciated.
Associated names are Wales, Dodds, Macdonald, Orr, Smith, Millar.
Hamiltons were also associated with Belfast Ireland in 1900's.
