Hello, My family has been tring to track down my grandfather "Alfred James Stewart". After 20+ years of searching to find out our grandfathers history, we finaly found out that he may have been one of the home children sent to Canada in 1890. He was one of the Quarrier children brought to Brockville, Ontario, Canada on the SS Siberian that left Scotland on March 28, 1890. He died in 1972 in Ottawa and had been in hospital since the 1950's he was parilized when I knew him. We have not been able to varifie his age or his history untill just the other day.
