My grandfather's name was Maurice Knox. I've been told that Knox is a Scottish name. The last place I knew he lived was Parkersburg, West Virginia. My father, William Knox Croft, was born there 5 August 1912. Can anyone confirm that Knox is a Scottish name? How can I learn if my grandfather's family came from Scotland and when? End of message.
