CALLING ALL THOMSONS IN WALES --- HELP!!!!!
I'm looking for any info on the name THOMSON in Wales.
I have a missing THOMSON family which I've been looking for for years and I have just found out that the oldest surviving son was 1st Headmaster of the YSGOL JOHN BRIGHT school in Llandudno from 1896. The Y.S.B. website also informs me that prior to this he was Senior Master at the FRIARS School in Bangor.
From another site I've also discovered that he wrote a guidebook for climbing in Wales, in the 1890's
His name was:
JAMES MERRIMAN ARCHER THOMSON, b.1863, son of JAMES THOMSON and CAROLINE OLIVIA MERRIMAN, who were married in 1855.
Their other children were:
INFANT SON, born & died 1855
JAMES JOHN ARCHER THOMSON, 1857-1859
CAROLINE THOMSON, 1859-
JAMES ARCHER THEODORE THOMSON, 1860-1861
HELEN ARCHER THOMSON, 1865-
WILLIAM ARCHER THOMSON, 1866-
HERBERT ARCHER THOMSON, 1868-
PLEASE, any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping someone will see this and contact me.
