I am looking for information on my GWALTNEY roots. My GGG grandfather's name was Thomas Gwaltney and I believe he or his parents were immigrants from Wales. I know very little about Thomas Gwaltney, other than he had four boys, the youngest of which was my GG grandfather, George Gwaltney, born 3/29/1865 (possibly in the state of Tennessee), and that at one point in time the family lived in Arkansas. I do not know if Thomas Gwaltney immigrated from Wales or was born in the US. From information given to me by a relative, I have read this family probably first came and settled in Virginia, then into Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, and then to Missouri. Any help would be appreciated. I am new at this and not sure where to start.
