Do the names David WILLIAMS or Paul WILLIAMS ring a bell?Their father was Richard Williams, mother Mary Hinckel.My great grandfather, David Williams was said to be a mining engineer (if there was such a thing at the time) who migrated to Honduras in 1830 to Central America in search of gold. Paul was his brother and he continued on to the Argentine Province, Patagonia in southern Argentina where there is, to this day, a sizeable Welsh community who are now ranchers and farmers. My great grandfather, David married the daughter of a Mexican advisor to the Marquis of Aciyena, by the name of Vicente Domiquez. When Mexico relinquished control of the "Banana Republics", David and Vicente Domiquez literally fought the efforts of a Francisco Morazan who wanted to unite all of the Central American Republics into one country. David married his daughter, Josefa Maria Dominquez and as mining in Honduras begin to peter out, he went into ranching His father was Richard Williams and mother, Mary Hinckel.
