I am looking for anyone in the Cardiff area with the surname of DAVID. My grandfather Solomon Herbert Chilton David lived in Cardiff at least between 1893-1897, but I think probably since 1883 when he was born. Granddad and his brother William, sisters Gladys and Minnie (might have been spelled different) and mother, Jane Morgan David left Cardiff around 1900 to come to the US. Thomas stayed behind. He may have remarried and had another family. There was also one or possibly two other daughters who died before the family left Cardiff. One was Leah Maud David who was born in 1893 and died in 1897. family history has it that the other sister was also named Leah Maud and she died in her teens. She probably would have been born and died before 1893. If this sounds like something any David remembers hearing about in their own family, I would love to hear from you
