I am looking for info on my great grandmother Elizabeth Evans's family. They were apparently connected to the Bevans. As there was a brewery named Evans and Bevans. The family are from Llantrisant, Glamorgan, South Wales. I have been able to get back as far as Morgan Evans, Innkeeper in Llantrisant on the 1851 census. His date of birth is circa 1795. At the time of the census he was a widower. I would like to find out who his wife was and also his parentage. My great great grandfather David Evans(1828), was also an Innkeeper, his brother Daniel(1831) farmed 160 acres in Llantrisant and had 14 children, that was up to 1881. Elizabeth Evans (1862) married my great grandfather Philip Williams (1864). They has several children one of which was my grandfather Philip Ivor Williams(1898). I would also like to trace my family on the Williams' side. On the 1851 census I found my great, great, great grandfather David Williams (1802), he was married to his second wife Sarah (1828), they had 2 children at this time, but he also had 2 children prior to their marriage, one of which is my g.g.grandfather David Williams (1828). Most of the family comes from Pontypridd. I have no record of my g.g.g.grandmother or my g.g.grandmother. On the 1881 census Sarah is living with my g.g.grandfather's family, but he and his wife are not mentioned. He died in Ponypridd in 1891 aged 54 and is buried with another of his sons Gwilym(1866) who died in 1895 aged 29. We believe Gwilym died in a pit accident, but I have no further information than that. So if anyone could shed some light on either family I would be very grateful. Thanks, Cathy.
